about

“Vernon Tool & Die” originated from my love of mysterious tales and mysterious places with hidden tales of woe. It’s dedicated to all those weird and scary buildings we drive by and don’t know what’s going on in them.

There is an old factory out past Route 95
Been there forever more dead than alive
Heard stories growing up I was scared I won't deny about Vernon Tool & Die

On an old hill, surrounded by a gate
Been in the same family since 1928
They don't talk to nobody, and nobody does pry at Vernon Tool & Die

You can see the smoke pouring out hell's own chimney
The devil’s playground, now what could that be?
Crows on the fence, gun metal dark skies at Vernon Tool & Die

The trucks move at night, never during the day
The drivers all seem nervous, they always look away
I wonder what they would say, if called to testify about Vernon Tool & Die

You can see the smoke pouring out hell's own chimney
The devil’s playground, now what could that be?
Crows on the fence, gun metal dark skies at Vernon Tool & Die

I hear the train whistle, the ‘two-forty’ from Galveston
The factory lights are on, midnight shift has begun
One day they will have to answer I hope they can justify about Vernon Tool & Die

You can see the smoke pouring out hell's own chimney
The devil’s playground, now what could that be?
Crows on the fence, gun metal dark skies at Vernon Tool & Die

You can see the smoke pouring out hell's own chimney
The devil’s playground, now what could that be?
Crows on the fence, gun metal dark skies at Vernon Tool & Die, at Vernon Tool & Die
